School starts tomorrow, which makes today the last day of real summer. Not fake summer (summer when you have to go to school - what kind of lame shit is that anyways?). Well a brief recap on summer is what you ( I don't know who 'you' is because I doubt anyone reads this except for 37 year old males who live at their mom's house) are in store for. Summer '06 was pretty slow, but busy. I guess. Usually busy means fast, but not unless you are busy doing stuff you don't enjoy doing, which was the case most of this summer. I went to Almanor a few times, went out on Lake Oroville a few times, hung out with some friends every once in a while, but other that that, I was pretty busy working for my dad. I don't think I am quite ready for school to start quite yet, but fuck it, what choice do I have? I am atleast excited about getting this last year of high school done with and hopefully getting a chance to do some fun shit along the way. Chea.

What's This?

Wow, so someone told me that I had less than half of my summer break left. This happened about three days ago and I'm not sure if its true and I have yet to be able to summon up enough gumption to spend the necessary amounts of brain power and energy to actually figure it out myself, but regardless...it's bad news. Lake Almanor turned out to be chiller than planned. Too chill - I would say. In other words, I didn't do shit. I hung out with a couple of friends here and there, hit up a Chester party as a joke, and went out on the boat here and there. I didn't get nearly enough wakeboarding in. It's sort of frustrating. Oh well. So anyways, summer is well into itself and I feel that I have yet to do anything of importance. i just finally started working full time and so I hope now my days will become a bit more planned out for me and I am able to do some stuff before school starts again. I'm actually not dreading going back too school too bad. Not because I like school (or even the people for the most part), but I’m anxious as hell to finish up my senior year and bust outta this bitch (Chico). We'll see how the year goes. Back to summer. Actually not back to summer - Its 12:04 and I have work tomorrow at 8. That’s all for now

Almost There

So I turned 18 last Wednesday. I went to San Fransisco with a couple good friends and my parents. We saw a Giants game at noon. It was a good game but was really really hot. Too hot for sure. After the game we walked Haight Street for a while. We then went to The Stinking Rose for dinner. Its a pretty cool Italian Restaraunt that specializes in garlic. There was garilic on or in every single thing on the menu. So that was cool. After that, we just drove back to Chico and that was a day. Overall the day went pretty good. Its Monday now and the only thing on my mind is the lake. Almanor that is. I should be leaving any day now. I was going to leave today, but it looks like Im just going to leave tomorrow. The first day or two will consist mostly of painting my cabin, but after that it'll be all relaxin'. I Can't wait to leave chico for a while and get away from things, it'll be great up there. Im staying a couple of days past the 4th. Its going to be straight chill up there. Can't wait...Almost there...

Summer So Far

So far summer has been a littttttllle slow, but not too bad. It has just begun, it feels. I feel like it's just getting started and that any day it will sort of subside a little and my days will start to form some sort of pattern or atleast be subject to some extent of predictability. Right now, my day-to-day activities have been quite random. The main reason for that is that I have yet to truly begin working. I am going to be working for my pops this summer, and he wanted me to do some work at home and at our cabin in Almanor before I start working for him full time. Once I start working for him and getting my 40 hour weeks in, I feel that I will be able to relax a little and actually plan stuff. Recently, I have not yet planned one thing regarding anything. I never know what I am doing the next day, and it is beginning to become quite frustrating. I haven't even been able to properly plan my own 18th birthday. One would be unpleasantly surprised to learn how hard it is to fill 6 seats at a Giants game, if you do not put forth at least a little effort. Two of my better friends can't make it, so that in itself as proved to be quite a gumption-buster (Ha, "Gumption-Buster", a new phrase maybe?). Any how, stay tuned for an update when my schedule takes some form.

Summer

Ah, alast. School has ended and Summer has begun. So far, so good. I started my summer off at a party. Next day I went to Lake Shasta on a house boat for a couple of days. I have two more weeks of school and then three days of finals, followed by a half day with no purpose but to ditch. That means 10 days of school, 3 days of finals, and 1 day of ditching. Not bad, not bad at all. This is a good thing because I am just about through with school for now. Sure, next year I might just me almost ready to get back to school and the grind and what not, but now I am so incredibly sick with school than I can no longer stand it. Right now my classes are not even that hard (they used to be), but I am just so burnt out I cannot get myself to show the minutest amount of gumption and am therefore incapable of doing anything. As my homework load becomes less arithmetically, the amount of work I do lessens exponentially. The two decreasing habits intersected last week. This intersection means I am no longer doing all of my work and I am thus lowering my grades. I believe my grades will end just where I want them, except for Chemistry. Chemistry is certainly questionable, but we shall see. What is important at this point in time is that I can see the light at the end of the tunnel and this makes me happy. That is all for now.

Half Day

So today was a half day at school. Half days are pretty awesome. The worst part of every class during a normal day is those last 15 minutes of class that seem to take an hour. Well, on half days, those last 15-20 minutes are non-existent. Pretty cool shit. So today, the weather was hella nice. So, after school, I went to a long lunch and just kinda kicked it downtown for a while. After that I went to the track meet at PV. Chico kicked their ass, bad, real bad. So now I am home and I have a really big headache. I have alot of homework to do too. I really just wanna go outside and space out. Bummer.

Prom

Well, Prom was last night. At first I was not going to go. Then I decided, heck, I should just go. So I was going to go for a while, kinda looked for a date, then decided i wasn't going to go again. Then about a week before, I decided i was going to go and so I asked a girl, and we went. We went to Sicilian Cafe for dinner and it was really good. We got to the dance about and hour late, but dances are a little too long sometimes anyways. So the dance was alot of fun. After that the group of people I went to Prom with went to a party. It was lacking in some departments but over all, not too shab. Anyways, I am now home and all is well. About to start some good ol' homework. So anyways, i went to an Acupuncture appointment today (my first) for my knee. I guess the guy i went to (as he claims) is the only one in the United States that does traditional Japanese Acupuncture. Kinda hard to believe, but whatever. He said most places are Chinese. He said that he learned it in Japan. Anyways, the Chinese use larger needles and more of them and the Japanese use really small ones. He kinda just rambled on about energy, pulses, and electo-somethings and i didnt really understand any of it except that he was trying to change my energy and stuff. So anyways, he just kinda poked me on my foot with a needle i could hardly see and definitely couldnt feel. Then he would poke my palm, then foot, then palm and back and forth. He poked my back a little. He poked my knee, but puposely not the one that is bothering me. I didnt feel any of it but just found myself laughing/trying not to laugh the whole time. I think i got a little tingly and also the guy was really weird. It was pretty awkward. It was an extremely boring day. I went to second period, spent 2 minutes filling in random bubbles on a math test then sat there and did nothing for and hour. I then went to break for 15 minutes and came back to my second period. I kinda just slipped out the door and went to 7-11 and bought a slurpee, then with nothing better to do, i went back to class. I sat around for a little while longer and then went to lunch with some friends. I got back to school and went to my first period class, which is studyhall. So once again i sat there for almost and hour (which was just about the longerst hour of my life). After that i had two normal but unproductive periods. Now i am home. Hm.

First Day Back

So today was my first day back from spring break. Spring break was good but too short as always. Today went by relatively okay, being that it took about 5 periods for it to finally sink in that i was back in school. So for the most part my classes went fairly smooth. I was however reminded why i dislike History and Chemistry though. My teachers are horrible and they both hate me. This makes for bad experiences. Any how, it was the first day back and i am going to try to step it into gear and pull some strings to get my grades up to par before the end of the year.
